Long awaited update

Update posted by Neven Boyanov

Here is the so long awaited update on the Education for Nepal
project. Please take your time to read!
First of all, thank you again for your amazing support. The last two months
were silent but not inactive. During the time of the fundraising campaign, an
Australian woman donated many of the planned items for the school in Chuchepati
camp which was great news. It put me through in the situation where I had to
find a new good allocation of the funds to support the future of the education
in the camp.
Since the camp is located on a private ground, the last
months were critical for deciding its future. I decided to wait and follow the
progress with that issue. Recently, there was decided that the camp has to be
moved or eliminated within months. Considering that decision and the large
interest shown by the women and children in the camp to continue studying, we
(me and my Nepali partners) agreed on finding a way to continue the educational
process even if the camp gets closed. To continue the school activities the
lessons will be held in a private apartment. The 60% of the raised funds (so
550€) will be used to buy materials for it and insure the teacher’s salary for
the period of 6 months. I will give you more update on this as soon as
possible.
As described in the project, the rest of the funds (433€) has been forwarded to
Hugging Nepal for their projects of constructing schools and will also be
partly allocated to maintain the educational process in the camp until it´s
closed. Updates will follow.
I apologize to those who waited way too long for this update
and hope for your understanding. Very soon you will receive the promised
rewards. Further updates with photos and videos will be posted as soon as
possible. I remind you again that if any of you have interest or questions I´d
love to answer and furthermore contact you with the people on site.
Thank you all for making the project possible!
