Update #3

Update posted by Dahlia Ramirez

Here is a video from this morning. She definitely improved! Yesterday she couldn't even lift her head up and when we petted her she stayed completely still, which is something she never does. When we went to go pick her up to transfer her to a regular animal hospital this morning she seemed to be herself again. She's still on the weak side, but she's looking a lot stronger as time goes by. She's still on the steroids and is now taking antibiotics. Her red blood cell count is considered to be at a low normal range right now. We're hoping her body is able to make more red blood cells so they will be at an actual normal range. They still aren't sure what the cause is. They can't test for blood parasites at the moment, because taking blood from her right now would only weaken her. We were told that we might be able to take her home tonight and administer oral steroids to her ourselves. We don't know for how long she will be on the steroids and antibiotics. The vet said it was a slow process to her recovery, so we're just taking it day by day.

Here's a before & after photo from yesterday to today:

It might not look like too much in photos, but before she wouldn't move at all and today she seemed pretty normal. Hopefully she will get even better!

I really wanna thank everyone for their support and well wishes! We really appreciate it!

EDIT: It looks like she is not coming home tonight. The vet wanted to keep her overnight, so we hope she improves even more when we go to visit her tomorrow. Prices haven’t been mentioned yet at this place, so we’re very worried at what they’re gonna say even though we know they are cheaper than the emergency pet hospital. The vet should be calling sometime tonight, so we'll know then.
