Hurdle those exams!

Update posted by Lauren Brown

It's the 5th of April. In 5 weeks, we start our final exams, and then 10 days after those are done, we leave for Thailand. It still feels slightly surreal-I'm focusing so much on studying for the exams that the idea of a month away in a (different) foreign country seems like a dream. I took a week 'off' from our Spring vacation to go lamb again in Dumfries and Galloway. Out of all the husbandry experiences I've had so far, lambing is by far my favorite. Of course, I've only done sheep, cow and horse. Elephant will be something else entirely.

Every once in a while, I'll catch myself day dreaming of what each day will be like in Thailand. I know it will be hard work-dirty, physically exhausting, possibly dangerous-but what will we actually be doing? What will we see? What is the daily medical routine like on a sanctuary like that?

I can't wait to find out.

Lauren
