The documentary A new Economy was presented at Windsor International Film Festival in November. Different screenings will be organized in Montreal and Switzerland. The film is distributed collaboratively, you may also host a screening.
We also hosted two game jams and an open-source hardware workshop in Montreal to create a mobile app with educational games on asthma. This includes a game to self-assess one's lung function through a peak flow test.
Concordia University and Sainte-Justine university hospital in Montreal also granted us CAD 15000 to organize five game jams in 2017, three keynote speeches on non-exclusive innovation, as well as focus groups and hardware tests to validate our breathing games and devices! Keep posted on our Twitter and Facebook accounts!
In France, we presented a project to host game jams about Cystic Fibrosis to Federation Hospitalière de France. We are in the finalists and will receive the answer in a few weeks.
In Switzerland, we started to organize the next game jam, which will take place in Geneva during the Lift:Labs.
We also applied to a Google Foundation grant and to a Canadian Institutes of Health Research grant to further develop the commons. These funds will enable to develop the infrastructure inculding a distributed database, to host co-creation events, keynotes with international speakers, and to mobilize a community of contributors to ensure we have interesting educational and therapeutic games, and qualitative guidelines that enable everyone and everywhere to use and adapt our free/libre technologies.
