Mama just got admitted at the National Kidney and Transplant Institute today (where she also had her chemo 13 months ago). The pain in her abdomen must have been too much to bear because she appeared disoriented earlier, asking me what hospital we were in. We have always gone to NKTI for her treatments so this is an alarming development.

After three hours of waiting, we were finally ushered to her room. The doctors are checking her vitals and beginning with her tests so hopefully after she starts the first of her three chemo drugs (and they treat her h. pylori) she'll feel a lot better.

And again, to our many Santas, thank you for the help. We are a long way from the amount she needs for her stem cell transplant but this is a good start. More updates in the next few days.
