The Campaign Owner

Update posted by Ma. Catherine Perez

Hi,

I'd like to introduce myself. I am Ma. Catherine Perez - Catt or Tata to my friends and family.

Aside from being a full-time Virtual Assistant, I am this little boy's 24/7 aunt. I take care of him while my sister and her husband are at work. I am really close to this little guy and I treat him like my own. He is my favorite person in the whole wide universe!

I have witnessed everything this little man went through. From the first day of his bleeding in July, to the procedures done to him, up to this very minute I am writing this post while everyone else is sleeping.

It was a really heartbreaking experience.

?Seeing how needles are inserted to him

?Hearing his cries when he is in pain

?Seeing him get agitated everytime a nurse or a doctor comes in the room to check

?Hearing him shout my name "CATT!!!" as he hold out his hand for me to hold when he needs to distract himself from pain

?Holding him while he cries

?See him turn black and blue during convulsion.

?Seeing him with tubes and wires in the ICU

?Listening to all the beeps while watching over him

It was really hard to stop myself from crying but I did - for him.

Jace is one strong boy. He has always been as playful and cheerful as ever despite all those procedures. He never showed any form of weakness during this whole ordeal. He makes everyone laugh with his cute and witty antics. It?s like he?s telling us, the adults, to be strong and happy just like him. He has inspired me more than any living person right now.

I recently just celebrated my birthday in the hospital 2 days ago (see picture). That was when I started this campaign for him. I only had one wish for my birthday? It?s for him to go home healthy and strong.

We have other fund raising campaigns planned and we hope we get your support in those as well. We still have a long way to go but I know God and the Universe will provide.

I personally want to thank everyone who responded to our call for help. Thank you for your kind hearts and good souls.

Friends, colleagues, schoolmates, churchmates, neighbours, family, distant relatives, and even those who are strangers to us? Thank you very very very much. You have no idea how much this means to us and our brave little boy.

~ Catt (the 24/7 tita)
