It has taken me a while to be able to give an update on our situation, it is with profound sadness that I share that my brother left us the week before Thanksgiving, unfortunately no treatment could stop the damaged that cancer had already done. We surrounded him with love and with the best medical care we could, we sang to him, read to him, told him and showed him how much we love him. Both of his sons, Alejandro and Enrique, were with him during his last days. In his honor, I'd like to extend this campaign, not only to cover some of the medical expenses but to provide needed resources to legally process the petition to have my nephew Enrique (14) stay with us on a permanent basis, to live with us in Raleigh. We are grateful for the kind words of solidarity and the support you have given us, please help us provide a more stable situation to Enrique. Any funds not used to cover legal and medical expenses will be used to create a NC College Fund for Enrique's hopeful future.
