HOUSING new people:

DECEMBER:

We keep registering people in need of housing mainly from Vordere Zollamtsstraße and we keep looking for housing offers. We are now in touch with Diakonie as well and some private offers of housing are also becoming available. Johanna, a great lady from Diakonie has helped us find a home for Maysa and Robabeh in December, two young single female refugees from Vordere Zollamtsstraße. Moreover, Diakonie is helping us with any necessary information regarding housing, which we have posted to the Mission of Hope Facebook group. Maysa is very private and prefers to stay anonymous, but we attach a picture of Robabeh in her new place:-).

JANUARY:

On Christmas Eve a beautiful baby boy Eleya, whose family (Myriam and Ali) from Iraq was staying at Vordere shelter, was born. As if given in the stars, Kerstin from Flüchtlinge Willkommen was looking for a family to go into an available flat. In a week, the move was sorted, they met their hosts and we moved them on Monday the 18^th of January. The flat is very cozy and they are all doing very well. We are also supporting them with their food, metro tickets, mobile credit and basic toiletries. We have given them 245 EUR that Sarah Scott, a great team member has collected for them and we still have an additional 90 EUR so far to give to them once these funds are spent. Thanks to our great donors, we have also collected a baby bed, clothes and toiletries for the family and they have all they need at the moment. We also got a 50 EUR DM voucher for baby items from another donor, which we will give to them this week. It will take time until they get their benefits so we still keep collecting material and financial donations for them. We will post the receipts once they spend the money. We attach a photo of the DM voucher.

Please help us support this family in their basic needs with one of these options:

- make a donation and add a note *Newborn baby family* and specify if you would like to give them cash, money for toiletries, food, metro tickets or mobile credit
- Buy a gift voucher from Hofer or DM or metro tickets - Give them food or donations of toiletries (they can pick up items anywhere in Vienna)
