VBC FLEA MARKET - May 2016

We have been very lucky to win to become the “Charity of the Year” for a flea market which the Vienna Babies Club hosts every year. It was a day event, we had a stand there where we collected clothes and necessities for camps and housed refugees. The VBC flea market organized a cake and drink stand, the proceeds of which went to our site. Excluding the fees of transfer, we have received 1324 EUR from the VBC Fleamarket Event. THANK YOU to all the volunteers who were involved in collecting, organizing and redistributing donations, namely Sarah, Claire, Emma, Sonia, Vince, Ali, Abrar, Bassam, Luada and Maitham. It was a busy day but thanks to you all also a fun day, so thank you all for joining us!

The material donations (clothes, bikes, toys, shoes, toiletries) from the event were distributed to housed refugees on low budgets and the following camps:

The financial donations in the amount of 1324 EUR were used as follows:

• Bassam: 120 EUR
• Maitham and Abrar: 120 EUR

Camps:

• Underwear for children at Siemensstrasse camp: 200 EUR
• Dates for Ramadan for people from VoZo camp (each received a little pack): 100 EUR
• Food for Primavesigasse: 59.68 EUR
• Toiletries for housed refugees and Primavesigasse camp: 187 EUR
• Metro tickets for Schottenfeldgasse camp: 132 EUR
• Zoo trip for minors: metro tickets: 44 EUR

TOTAL: 722.68 EUR
