Success and Press!

Update posted by Charlotte Wales

It's been a very busy week and I'm happy to say we've made great progress. A new total of almost 1,700 has been reached meaning we can now bring just over 200 lights to the camp! We've also made it into the local press with the help of a reporter who spotted our project on twitter.

With recent publicity in local press and the support of our local MP who diligently retweets every post we mention her in, we're starting to gather more interest from a broader public which makes it easier to organise fundraising activity and collect enough donations to really make a difference.

I can't tell you all how grateful I am to you for your personal support, every single penny counts and every single one of you is helping to make the lives of these refugees who have lost so much, that bit more bearable. You're not only giving them lights, you're giving them hope and showing that Europe really does care. They have not been forgotten and help is on it's way.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Charlotte
