Apologies for the late update - Free time appears to be a lot less these days when looking after Kiera. She had her operation towards the end of August and the doctors are very happy with the results.

Kiera has adapted remarkably well to her half-body cast and is doing better than I could in the same situation. Although she has her moments of frustration, they soon pass and she is again her adorable, charming self.

On 05 October, she will be having her second cast fitted. The good news is she will not require the 2nd operation as the doctors first thought because they did not have to wire anything together.

Our family and friends have been ever helpful. From the words of encouragement to helping out with a meal or lifts (Kiera doesn?t quite fit in our cars with her cast!). Everything makes it all that much easier for Kiera and her family.

Tracey and my employers have been extremely generous in assisting with the time required to look after Kiera. They have treated us in a way that makes us feel like we are part of their family.
