Luck to you my good friend.

I met a couple of interesting characters tonight. My partner and I were standing outside our hotel and were approached by three men, they were clearly on the streets. One was a young fellow, the second in his late 30's and an older fellow. The man in his late 30's was clearly quite happy and outgoing and asked us straight up if we could spare a bit of change so he could buy his friends and drink, he clearly wanted alcohol, and was straight up honest about it, he just wanted to have a drink with his friends.

I reached in my pocket and pulled out about $6 of chang, impressed by his honesty, my partner pulled out another $20 for him. He was abit taken by our jenerosity, and quickly rummaging through his bag, while thanking us, he pulled out a coin. He told us how it had brought him good luck whilst he had it over the past few days. He told how it had been given to him for his jenerosity, and how it had brought it's previous owner good luck.

He said that we should take it for our jenerosity to him and his friends, and that it would bring us luck until we passed it on to someone else.

What I find truely wonderful is the nature of people who struggle evryday. It seems to me that the poorest people are very much the happiest. Because I do not live in Brisbane, I could not invite these people in off the street for a night but back home I truely would.

Everyone who struggles through life needs a little break every now and then.
