We started this program to improve the overall quality of dance education that is provided to children in K-12 schools.

According to the National Dance Education Organization 57% of children do NOT have access to dance training in schools! Of the 43% who do, only 7% of this training is offered by a teacher who is trained or specialized in dance!! (http://www.ndeo.org/content.aspx?page_id=22&club_id=893257&module_id=55774)

The goal of our 'Dance to Learn!'™ Certification Program for Independent Dance Ambassadors, is to get qualified dance professionals into the schools and teaching dance curriculum that benefits the whole child!

Over the past 90 days, I have been very excited with the amount of support my project has received. With each new backer I made progress towards beginning my expansion. I have gone as far as hiring a recruiter in the Dallas/Fort Worth area who is actively interviewing and screening potential ambassadors.

I'm sure you can understand my disappointment when I discovered, a mere three hours after my Kickstarter Campaign ended, that all the money pledged will not be received since our goal of raising $15,000 was not met. Despite researching and reading through Kickstarter's policies, procedures and FAQ's this was not something that was clearly stated on their website, and had I known this detail prior to launching, I would have set a more modest goal.

I do hope that you still have a desire to help us on our mission to expand dance education to our nation's school children and improve the quality of the in-school dance options made available to children.
