On June 19, Alivia underwent an 8 hour operation known as a functional hemispherectomy. Alivia did well in surgery. She is able to speak a few words and can bear some weight on her right side, two things she was not expected to be able to do so soon. You can see Alivia's story in the Surrey Leader Newspaper June 25.
