Hi all,

Just wanted to let everyone know that I have finally managed to hand my mother's bankruptcy case off to another bankruptcy firm who actually seems to be 1) professional, 2) have my mother's best interest in mind, 3) understand the case and know what's at stake, and 4) know how to do their jobs. After several days and hours of phone consultations, it seems that a probate attorney was not necessary, but another bankruptcy attorney was. 

We have found a place for my mother's cats to stay during the time we need to prepare the house for sale!  Thank you to Fairy Tails Adoptions! (http://fairytailsadoptions.org/) Donna, who runs Fairy Tails, is amazing and we are so grateful to her.  She is also in desperate need of funding for her rescue, so please visit her page and pass it around if you can.

If things go according to the new legal plan, we will start cleaning up the house mid-November in the hopes of selling it ASAP and finding a new place for my mother in that same time. 

The money we have raised thus far ($250) is exactly enough to take care of the cats while they are at Fairy Tails.  Thank you again to everyone who donated! You gave these cats a temporary home and helped make it happen! Woo!

 

However, we still need funding!  Without more funding, we are looking at taking out a personal loan we can't afford or piling up credit card debt.  We still need movers throughout this process, a storage space to house my mother's stuff before being moved into the new place, money to clean (inside and out) and re-paint the home in order to get it ready for sale, etc.
