Hello kind people!
Just an update. 5th September is approaching (too) fast. Just wanted to update you that you have given a good bundle of Pashto/French/Arabic/English dictionaries to the school for refugees. The school, L'Ecole La�que des Dunes, also functions as a much-needed safe space for women and children. Apparently they are sleeping in the daytime and awake at night, to stay safe.
Appallingly, it has now been declared that the tiny centre for women (at Jules Ferry) will only allow women and children to stay for a maximum of three months - and this applies retrospectively, so that those whose stay is already approaching three months will be kicked out very soon. I will update more when I know more. On Saturday I will go to the school and see what else they need for next time. I'm also meeting someone from L'Auberge des Migrants http://www.laubergedesmigrants.fr/. But really a flying visit with my Bulgarian co-pilot (I am scared of driving on the right).
So it's a lot more than sanitary pads!
I will find a way to share all receipts once I have them.
