Ewan has just completed one week in Oklahoma. He attended Proton Therapy Centre the day after his arrival to undergo some tests including MRI and CT scan. His mask has been fitted ready for radiotherapy.

A mould technician or radiographer makes the mask in a mould room using plastic mesh. the plastic is heated in warm water the technician then placed it on his face like a flannel his nose and mouth don't get covered so he is able to breath ,once the mesh has moulded and become hard it was removed and now ready for his treatment . As the radiotherapy is required in Ewan's head the mould is used to hold him in place. making the treatment more effective.

He now has 7 days off before his treatment starts to do what he wants.The first thing was to find a lego store so has already kept his self occupied building Minecraft lego amongst others. He has spent time in the pool most days and visited a science museum, met an American police officer which I am informed by his dad that he chased to have a photo taken. He lost a tooth which he put under his pillow and received 3 dollars from the tooth fairy lol ( please don't knock him still believing).
