Today I met up with my friend Juliette. Some of you may recall that we met during Theo's emergency stay in hospital when he was 8 weeks old. Juliette's 14 year old son Benjamin was in the next bed. He has autism and was in for a spinal operation which led to 3 months rehabilitation, he's now walking. Due to life getting in the way for both of us it's the first time we've been able to see each other in 9 months. Today, I was finally able to give Juliette the gift many of you so kindly donated to. Juliette was quite taken aback by the gesture and I'm sure she won't mind me sharing that tears were shed by us both. But soon enough we were cracking up laughing again, not least about the rocky start to our friendship. She's an amazing person who does a tremendous job taking care of Benjamin. She thanks you all for recognising that.
