TUNNEL TO TOWERS FOUNDATION Launches 5K RUN/WALK in Orlando September 7th

Event Celebrates First Responders and Military Service Men and Women and Proceeds Benefit Most Castastrophically Injured Service Heroes

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation (T2T), THE leading organization that collaborates and unites our first responders and military, is hosting in Orlando, Florida on September 7th, as of their Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk Series. Registration is now open at  http://T2Trun.org/Orlando.

 

The Tunnel to Towers Run first began in 2002 as a living-breathing memorial to FDNY hero, father of five, Stephen Siller. On September 11th, 2001, Stephen was getting to play golf with his three brothers. When he heard what was happening at the World Trade Center site, Stephen headed towards the terror. His truck was stuck in panicked traffic outside the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, but this did not deter brave Stephen. Instead, Stephen strapped on 60lbs of gear and ran on foot approximately three miles from the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. Stephen was last seen with this brothers of Squad 1, all of whom perished. In honor of Stephen and all those that lost their lives on September 11, the Tunnel to Towers Run program champions our heroes "in the line of duty" the first responders and United States military - ensuring that "We Will Never Forget."

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing services for our most seriously injured first responders & military heroes through the Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk Series and the Building for America's Bravest program.
