Update #11

Update posted by Yvan Marco Tolentino

Day 19.

No significant updates for today.

We are still waiting for results of the two(2) blood tests her neurosurgeon ordered along with the schedule of another CT scan also ordered by her doctors (latest image will be needed before any surgery takes place). Her parents gave consent for the CT scan just earlier today. Just need to wait for a schedule. Sometime early this week I'm guessing.

Latest development in her condition is that she started singing sometime last night. Her parents were surprised to hear her suddenly bursting into song sometime in the middle of last night. Not sure if she was sleep-singing or if she was awake. Her brothers were also able to capture a video of her singing earlier this afternoon. To be honest, I'm not really sure what to make of it. I mean, I can't really tell what that would mean in relation to her illness/condition -referring specifically to the fact that her illness is neurological and even the tiniest signs and symptoms could mean something. Then again, I could just be overthinking -maybe it doesn't mean anything at all. Maybe she really just wanted to sing. I don't know. It was nice to hear her singing though. I'm also taking it as a good sign that she can still recall lyrics and melody.

On the topic of singing, I was talking with her brothers and cousin earlier today. We are looking into organizing a fundraising gig/concert to help raise awareness and funds towards her ongoing medication, treatment, surgery and future rehabilitation. We will be collaborating our efforts over the next few days to prepare all the requirements for this event along with the invitation of bands to perform, venue, ticket selling etc. Hopefully we can get this planned correctly and that it will be successful. I will keep this campaign updated with the progress of that.

Thanks again for following this campaign. All of your thoughts, prayers, concern and support are very important and is very much appreciated. Thank you!
