When I am out and about, and I am engaged in converstation about education, my own belief is this: it starts with someone and somewhere, and for all of us, that place is ourselves and our homes, whereever home is. And if you are a parent, then the first port of learning for your child or children is with you. Why not the school you ask, because you are that childs first and always be educator, and if you need help yourself, then get it, slowly at your pace.
