Hello!

So we didn't reach the target but you luvvly folks have helped buy a big old Merc truck, install a decent solar rig in it, build the roof rack for the panels, build a stage out of the side of it, a canopy for the stage, paint, a new gas urn and new low energy lighting for the Tea Tent and other bits and bobs. Thank you so much for your support!!

Two of the side panels of the Tea Tent still need repairing, there's still a debt to pay off and we need to get our Al through his HGV, but hopefully the 2015 season for SE will be successful enough to sort all that soon. The plan to make the Tea Tent bigger has now been replaced with a plan to buy a smaller marquee by the end of the year. We need one to house our fine real ale and cider bar at the SE events anyway, and are starting to get more bookings for weddings and private parties as well as marquee hire, so it makes sense. To help with that, just come and buy lots of delicious cake and fine beverages if you see us out!

If you donated for stage launch tickets through this site, they'll be arriving in your email inbox shortly, and if you bought an SE Compilation CD, we're still putting it together and waiting for the last few tracks, so it'll be with you asap. It will also be available on Bandcamp if you missed out. There are still a few tickets left for the stage launch on 25th April. For details, head to the Something Else in the Dean website 

The solar stage truck is now fully insured along with the Tea Tent and now taking bookings - all events considered. Check out the Something Else Tea Tent website to see where we'll be this year.

To make things less confusing, the SE pages are about to merge into one on Facebook, which is simply called Something Else.
