Chemo Part Deaux

Update posted by oscar5661 alampi

Another round of chemo was necessary because the scan showed all of the cancer was not gone. Joe received the treatments in the first week of February. The chemo after affects have landed him in the hospital again. Once he sparked a fever we knew that it was inevitable. On Monday, February 16th we drove down to Wichester and they admitted him. A snow storm was jsut beginning and I just about made it home that evening. His fever spiked each night and was lower during the day. Tests have been inconclusive as to the source of infection; bacterial, viral or fungal. With the distance and my work schedule I was not able to get to see him until yesterday.

Today Joe woke up with no fever. He had a full breakfast WITH coffee and now is napping. Let's see what the next 24-48 hours brings.

A donor has been selected and we are praying that our next step is Baltimore and transplant. Joe's health is in the hands of the physicians, his own body and most of all our Lord.

You can help  us meet our financial goal. We know that either way the money will come. It will be given, borrowed, earned or in some way made available. The thing over which I have absolutely no control is Joe and his condition. It is this that our Lord has told me that I need to give over entirely to faith.
