More about the situation at hand

Update posted by Carrol Mick

Some of the story one the situation at hadn is he got kicked out of his shop he had for 10 years because the pawn shop next door bought it. Then he found another spot and poured everything into it only to find out that the landlord crossed off the special zoning on his lease, (redacted) and now he can't have his tattoo shop there because of the special zoning. If the landlord redacted the zoning for the place one would think that he should be liable for all of the costs incurred by Chad.  Plus Chad had to sign a lease on the place which he now has to fight.  He lost his old shop and now the new shop is a no go because of the zoning.

He is checking into the possibility of getting a variance.

The new location was off 39th and Kipling, which is right across the street from a middle school.  What is odd is that they don't want a tattoo shop there but there was a bar there for years.  I am not sure if the bar is still there or not currently but it had been there for years.

Chad would need an attorney but at this point there is no money for an attorney.  Plus, the city of Wheatridge is fighting the zoining issue, and at this point there is a bunch of people protesting against the shop cause it is by a middle school. The city conveniently forgot to mention that after jumping through all the hoops that is will cost $200 just to have a hearing and of course nothing would be guaranteed if it would be able to open or not.  Chad got all of the permits and the health code approval and then the day before he was going to open the "officials" came in and notified him of the zoning issue and they did not notify him when he applied for the permits.

If anyone is a lawyer and would like to help Chad with this legal problem please let him know as he sure could use the help.

Also if anyone would like a tattoo please contact him at Kool Kats and set up and appointment for some ink.
