We made the 100 mark!

Update posted by Cathrine Milson

I just have to thank those who have donated and shared for your kindness. We reached the 100 Euro mark. There is still 3400 to go for the goal but now the campaign will be publicly listed on the site and possibly featured meaning more exposure for others to back this important project. I posted my personal reason and story about why I want my parents to come on my facebook. It was really long and I poured my heart out. I may revise the campaign story but I am trying to keep it simple and positive. I appreciate the kindness from those of you who have helped. I can not say thanks enough. It will allow me to help my parents through a very difficult time and an opportunity to see them.

I made the goal smaller because some have questioned whether what I was asking was too much. I would not say it is too much however my husband is training for a job and if all goes well we hope to have the finances to cover more expenses ourselves. Part of the reason I originally asked for $5000 well in euro was my parents health and my mother and I are debating if we can seek out surgery and treatment here in Germany for her where she can pay less and recover better. For now we simply want to try getting the most expensive things covered for their visit because even if we can not do much just having my parents here and spending some much needed time would mean so much and help us figure out the solutions to help my parents through a difficult situation and prepare for the future.

I do not expect or want this fundraiser to become a multi million dollar success story in the press and media. If it somehow does bring in much more than asked not only will I make the rewards bigger but the money would all go to helping my parents with everything they need including the medical help they need and moving them to a safer secure place. I just want to help my family and one day hope to see my parents in a better situation to live out the rest of their lives with some comfort and happiness. Peace and love to you all and thank you.
