Approaching 3 months

Update posted by Rene & Laura Kageff

Hello and blessings to you all,

We are coming to our 3 month date!   This is a very pivital moment!  Most RAD Children don't start making strides forward until three months.  It usually takes them that long to stop the pretence and start really digging in to the truth.  We are Praying for a positive report when we have our 3 month evaluation conference.  This will be when we find out if they (CHBSM) feel that Gianna is a good fit and that they can help her heal.  If so, we continue on and will hopefully have some forward healing movements happenening.  If not we will have one month to make other arrangements.  So we are asking all of you to continue praying for Gianna and that we truely have found the right place for her healing to take place.  We really believe we have, and really stand strong in the belief that God's perfect timing is just that.... PERFECT.  We know in our heart of hearts God is healing Gianna as we speak.  It's a slow but perfect process.  I know this to be true because God promises to restore and renew all that was lost or stolen.  Gianna's innocence and entire childhood was stolen up until now.  Now is when the tide is turning and we will see our sweet little girl gain peace and healing.  God has very big plans for our sweet Gianna...we just know it!!!!  Jer. 29:11

For now we hold on to all the little moments as they come.....the little updates and pictures.  We have been writting to Gianna and finally got a letter back.  She was very positive about her healing and very concerned about ours.  It is very painful to have our little girl so far away and still not be able to hold her and hug her through this...but the letters give us hope that this won't be forever.  We are praying and believing that Gianna is well on her way and before we know it she will be back home with us.  No matter what time is needed we know in the end this will be an amazing testimony to what GOD can do and HOW GREAT OUR GOD REALLY IS.  We know he loves Gianna and he will bring her through this stronger then ever.

We got a recent picture of Gianna on Valentines day.  It was a beautiful picture, but it did make me cry, because she looked older.  Yes she did!  It's been only three months, but it seems like forever. We sent little valentine gifts for her and the girls made her valentine cards too.  We all tryed to stay positive and think of the big picture.....healing for us all and a wonderful reunion....someday soon.  The girls have been doing better also, but this too is a very slow process.  We have really tried to spend as much time together with the girls to give them their security back and let the communication flow so that everyone has the time to "vent" all the feelings that are going on inside.  It has been slow but moving forward.  I see little sparks of hope everyday and our home is starting to feel peaceful once again.

This weekend we are doing a local fundraiser at the girls dojo.  It's called a kick-a-thon.  People can pledge so much $ per kick and hopefully this will not only raise much needed funds but also much needed awareness.  It was Sensi Josh who thought of it and so willingly put it all together.  We are so greatful and excited to see how this turns out.  The whole family has been working hard at trying to get pledges and practicing their kicks.  The goal is 1000 kicks in 15 minutes!  Please pray for all the kickers and all the supporters.  It should be a great time for a great cause, and God willing we can make a difference.

I wanted to thank you all again for your continued support.  We feel all your prayers and know that our peace and continued success is due to all of you reaching into your own lives and giving into ours.  We can never thank you enough and can only pray that God would truly bless you a 1000 fold.  We love you for helping us , many of you without ever even meeting or knowing us.  You will never realize the impact your e-mails, phone calls, hugs, donations, well wishes, meals, FedEX runs, friendship and prayers have meant to ALL of us.  But a BIG, HUGE HUG goes out to all of you......for whatever part you have played in our story.....THANK YOU and GOD BLESS YOU!

Written by Laura but heartfelt by the whole Kageff Family!
