Better News Today!

Update posted by Rae Cooper

Ive just had some better news from the vets and it seems I was right to have his biopsies sent off for analysis! Turns out that what Brynn has is actually very aggressive nasal polyps which have become very destructive to his nasal passages due to their size. The pathologist can not see any evidence of cancerous, malignant cells present. However, he has forwarded them on for a second opinion due the severity of the size. So, the vet is getting me together an estimate for surgery where as much of the tissue as possible will be removed. This will not cure the problem as almost all of the time there will be regrowth. Whether that's months or years will just depend. But I will do anything it takes to improve my little guys life so this news has been a total godsend today. Im not dancing a jig just yet until I hear back from the second opinion which should be by Friday. The surgery is very invasive and will involve opening his muzzle from his nose up to the eyes which will require a few nights in hospital and a potential blood donor. Sound horrendous but Im almost sure I will decide to go ahead. I could just leave it and do nothing but it will just keep growing and become debilitating over time. I cant believe it! What a bloody rollercoaster this is! Don't know whether to laugh or cry!Poor lad, sneezing up clots.
