With only 2 and a half months to go it is fair to say that my nerves are shot and self doubt is creeping in. Not only have I been watching videos of people walking the mountain but the Barranco Wall looks like a serious CLIMB!!! Something that I've not prepared for... This weekend I'm excited to be catching up with a military friend to discuss kit and possibly borrow a lot of it from her. I've just started to look at visas which I will endeavour to apply for over the next couple of weeks. I also have one last set of travel vaccines to go and so it's all looking fairly real. I've been doing some walking (and getting lost) in the countryside which makes me even gladder that I have guides with me for the mountain. The one thing that drives me most of all are the charities that I'm doing this for and most sentimental to me is the fact that I'm doing it in my grandfathers memory for Parkinson's UK so there is really not a question of turning back now. I want to just give quick thanks for all your donations and belief in me it really does mean a lot.
