The fundraising has been going for two weeks now, with staggering amounts of support from so many people, in so many formats! We cannot begin to adequately express how grateful we are.

This website has made it easy for some friends, near and far, to donate to their means. Still others have sent checks. A well-stocked snack basket in my office brings in a few dollars each day, while giving my hard working co-workers a tasty midday treat. And the orders for JoCoffee have begun to come in. Best of all are the people taking a moment to send Nieva an e-mail – the kind words and well wishes are priceless.

This week brings the opportunity to get a special gift for your valentine, created by Twig & Bloom, LLC, while both supporting a local business and contributing to help get Nieva to Washington D.C.

A delightful additional outcome of this campaign is reconnecting with people with whom I have not been in contact for some time. It has been fun catching up with people, and learning where their lives have taken them. And it is putting is very sharp relief how blessed and fortunate we are to have such fabulous people in our lives.

While we do find the unseasonably warm weather disconcerting, we may as well enjoy it while it is here! Have a great week, everyone!
