HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Update posted by fearnonemia

Happy New Year Everyone!

May we fulfill all our fitness goals in 2015!

When 2014 started I was nervous and thinking, how the heck am I ever going to get through this year?  I was faced with so many "challenges", and even though it seemed impossible at times, but looking back on 2014 I can honestly say that  the second half of the year settled and turned out pretty good after all! I made lots of new friends through you guys, and believe me when I say, I could have had the worse day but as soon as I walked into that gym to train you, my spirit lifted and it was like I never had a crappy day AT ALL!!! So thank you for being the positive energy that surrounds me. Know that it is an honor and pleasure to be able to train each one of you, and it brings me tremendous joy to be a part of your journey. Also, thank you for continuing to trust me with your training, and for the ongoing support to Fear None.

I'm feeling good about 2015! Today we will have our last training session and end 2014 on a high note and BEGIN 2015 ON AN EVEN HIGHER NOTE!!

I'd like to pause and acknowledge the donors who have supported the funding project and thus, aided in purchasing training equipment. Since the launch on November 19th, $600.00 was raised ($540. via funding website $60. cash donations), and even though the goal of $5,200 was not met by today's deadline, December 31st, the equipment added has been effectively implemented into your training. Hopefully we will get more support in the future that would allow me to reach out to the students-in-need, and offer the 6 month training program so they too will have the opportunity to experience a similar fitness journey. The new equipment has really been changing your lives, for example, Liz has a great affection for the sandbag; everyone rushes to use the decline bench (NOT), the plates have brought tears of joy to many of your faces as you pressed or squatted; the pull down rope is a favorite as everyone loves the burn as it shapes your arms; those wall balls, WOW! how we love to toss 16b lbs in the air against the wall!....ahahaha)

Special thank you to Sandra, Shana, German, Liz, Paula, Lula, Mela, Jade, Jodi, James, Jason, Gio, Nushine/Carlos and Anonymous, for making generous donations to the funding program, or for presenting us with a gift of equipment. For those of you who have been unable to donate, it's ok and we completely understand that not everyone can make a financial contribution at this time. Your ongoing love and support is just as necessary as money, because without love and support, we are just as powerless. If you have made a donation and I have not mentioned you, please forgive me.  ?Before closing, I'd like to ask if anyone can recommend a friend or family member who works in carpentry woodwork or construction, I need to have boxes built for the gym, and mounts installed and drilled into the walls. I appreciate any help. I can send the photos. Any reference is appreciated.

Here's a snapshot of all the items I was able to add to the gym due to your generosity.
1 x 16 lb medicine ball; pair 10 lb dumbells; 2 resistance bands; 1 dip belt; 2 sand bags; Duck Walk loading pin; 3-in-1 plyobox (waiting delivery); decline bench and from Craigslist an assortment of metal plates, rope pull attachment & rowing back pull metal attachment.

LOVE, HUGS & KISSES,
MALA
