Rob is out of surgery and comfortable. I haven't seen the surgeon, but he told Rob he could still ski! Still guessing here, but from the shape of the dressing, it looks like the metatarsal head is INTACT! Alleluia, thanks to the universe/whatever God you believe in! Now we need to get it to heal.  Once we talk to the team, we will update on the next steps. Lower leg circulation is quite limited, making stem cell/growth factor therapy a good possibility, sooner rather than later, to help this incision heal.
