We arrived at Scafell Pike at 04:00 and set off 10 minutes later, in the pitch black! The stars were out and headtorches could be spotted at the start of the route up. The sun rose on our way, leaving a spectacularly pink and purple sky. We reached the summit at 07:00 before heading back down the mountain and passing other climbers that we recognised from Ben Nevis. We arrived at the bottom at 08:50 and had a bowl of porridge then jumped in the car to drive to Snowdon. Two down and one to go!
