An Update on Zoozey

Update posted by Barbi Fowler

He's emaciated, has atrophied muscles, and he's still very confused (he developed cerebral edema over the weekend). He's not out the woods yet, but he's doing much better than he was yesterday. When I went to see him this afternoon, his glucose was much much lower, his electrolytes are starting to rise, he's sitting up and standing again, and--best of all--he's eating on his own! Thanks to an increase in credit limit from Care Credit and everyone's generous donations thus far, he's going to be able to stay at the e-vet until he's stable enough to come home.

I am amazed at the generosity of my fellow human beings and touched beyond belief that people are willing to help my sweet Zoozey. If you haven't donated and can afford to spare a few dollars, do please consider doing so. We (and by we I mean the vet) estimate that his emergency care is going to cost about $2500, which is the amount I've listed as my goal. This is in addition to the $1000 I spent last week. Any money you donate will go straight to the fabulous folks at the I-20 Animal Medical Center where Zoozey is receiving the best care possible or to Care Credit to pay off his emergency care bill. It's all about Zoozey!
