So its 1.30am in the morning and I thought I would give an update at where we are at before the 1st of the 3 organised fundraisers tomorrow night, or should I say tonight (makes note to self to goto sleep after this message :-D)

Raffle tickets are going well, really well in fact. When I started the fundraiser we needed £5000 and I thought the task would be a huge hill to climb, it still is but in fairness I didnt think we would raise so much before the fundraisers planned for tonight, next Saturday and then the the last on the 15th.

Being able to bring the total needed down to £3177 is an amazing feeling and a great way to go into the next 3 Saturdays knowing we have nearly raised over £2000 already and more to the point that the balance still needed is only £3000 (laughs at only).

So, now the fun begins and I really hope it pays off, especially with the news tonight that Nicky has been taken into hospital with an infection which whilst I suppose is par for the course and something we all need to get used to it really does bang home for me on a personal scale why I / we are doing this.

Big night tonight, hope we can put a dent in the remaining balance to take the pressure off the darts night next week and then the big family fundraiser on the 15th.. might even treat myself to a beer at the band night tonight if things go well.
