Hi everyone. I've been busy working on my pitches. I'm nervous and excited all at the same time. I have one piece in particular that I'm passionate about, working on it this week has been invigorating.

My youngest has been having some difficulties lately, and I was unsure for a while last week whether I would make it to BinderCon at all. I'm now taking my kids to the city with me (we'll be up & at 'em by 5am on Saturday!) so that if anything happens, I'm a few minutes away, not two hours. This is a relief, but also makes my plans trickier, and financial needs a bit higher. It is more important now than ever that I get some more funds in my pocket before Saturday. Their train tickets, food, etc. add a lot on to my budget. 

I lost a job opportunity (not in the creative field, this was tech-related) over the weekend. I was so upset. I'm determined to look at it as something that was meant to be. Now I have this week to focus my energy on BinderCon and my speed-pitches. I'm hopeful.
