I have spent the last 14 years rescuing animals. I have 8 right now, 7 cats & 1 dog. At least five cats need their teeth cleaned. This morning I was quoted $300 just for the cleaning. Because of Blackie's age, the vet  said most likely she would require extractions and the price goes up if they have bad gums. This is heartbreaking because while I am trying to do the right thing by saving these animals, I can't afford to take care of them properly.  I hate that I have to decide which cat needs vetrinary care more.  Please, if there is anyone out there that knows how to get vetrinary care, teeth cleaning, shots, etc. please let me know by emailing me @ [email protected].  I need to get all of my cats teeth cleaned in order of priority. I know Blackie will need extractions and I feel terrible for he.  I have tried to clean my cats teeth but I don't have one cat that will allow it without shreding my hands/arms.  They are wonderful sweet cats but not when they feel invaded.  They just need to be put under to do it.  I have almost enough saved for the $300 but if I take her in for the estimate on December 13th and they say she will require a couple of extractions, I'm left walking out the door.   I think she hurts because she is always rubbing her gums on the edge of anything she can find. Blackie is 14 now and the last thing I want is to have her this many years and have her pass away because I couldn't afford to have her teeth cleaned. She has been throwing up a lot and I think it may be from bacteria that she is constantly swallowing, at least that's what I heard. Any help that anyone can give Blackie would be so greatly appreciated. I sell on Ebay, which right now is my only income. I am unable to work because of an illness but it is like "pulling teeth" (no pun intended) to get on disability even though I have worked for 35+ years. I give donations all the time at the pet store checkouts, a dollar here a dollar there. Now I understand how important those small donations can be to save a pet or keep one healthy. I had no idea how expensive it was going to be. The last time I had one of my cats teeth cleaned it was around $200. Now, I'm sure because of how badly she needs it done, even though the vet quoted $300 for the cleaning they said by the time everything is done it would probably be closer to $1000. I really want to take good care of my animals but the costs of Vet bills makes it nearly impossible. Thank you so much for any help you can give. Every little bit will count. If the cost is under $1000, I will put it toward the next cat. I will find out for sure on December 13th because the vet will give me an estimate.
