Black Girl Lead Conference

Hello everyone

Please help us take this amazing young lady to the Black Girls Lead Conference In New York City.

Onalenna Gaelejwe, is a 17 years old girl doing grade 12 at High school Schweizer-Reneke in the North West province of South Africa. She lives with her mother, Grandmother and uncle. Growing up she has always inspired by community workers, volunteers, activists, leaders who loved helping people. she is a hard worker and take her education very seriously.

Onalenna was recently selected to attend the BLACK GIRLS LEAD Conference hosted by BLACK GIRLS ROCK! in New York City. I am excited for her to join a cohort of other amazing young black girls like herself. The conference educates, affirms and empowers girls to become the trailblazers of our future! They will learn through action-packed, innovative workshops, master classes, lectures, empowerment panels and more. The conference will take place on from the 28 of July to the 2nd of August 2019.

As with any amazing opportunity, there is a cost involved. BLACK GIRLS ROCK! was able to cover the activities fees. However, not everything is covered and unfortunately she is unable to cover the rest of the cost by herself or her mother alone. She is looking for financial support to cover her residential and flight ticket. Her residential costs are $1000 and needs to be paid by the 7th of July 2019 and the rest will be for her flight ticket.

So with all that being said, I would like to ask you to please support her by making a donation, in order to raise that money. Every contribution big or small gets her closer to her dream of attending this conference and make a huge difference at this point in time.
