Birds’ Home and Arvestanots

Hello, my name is Mamikon Varderesyan, I am an artist, living and working in Gyumri, Armenia. Years ago I started collecting, adopting and taking care of birds, mostly exotic and unique and foreign to my hometown. I used to have a fairly sizeable studio and space for my birds (more than 300 now) but unfortunately I am having to leave this space because of the prohibitive price of the monthly rent. My goal now is to open a new “Birds’ Home” in Gyumri and I need some financial assistance to complete my project. My vision is to create an art studio with an aviary or so called “Birds’ Home” inside it. In its ultimate form it will be a place that locals and tourists can visit, both to enjoy the artwork and the beautiful symphony of colors and sounds provided by this perfect creatures of nature. This studio will be unique in its type and I plan to use it as a cultural, touristic and educational unit.
