Biking Against Alcoholism

My name is John Rohan and I currently reside in Las Vegas, Nevada.  I'm an environmental sciences major at Nevada State College and spend most of the time studying, cycling and being an all-around broke student.  

This September 15th I will be celebrating my one year of sobriety from alcohol.  This is a very very big deal for me.  To celebrate I plan on taking a cross country bike trip from Las Vegas, NV to Tampa, FL.  My plan is to leave around the 15th and arrive in Florida sometime in December.  

Along the way I will attend a 12 step meeting every day in whatever local towns and cities I journey through.  This will give me a chance to meet recovering alcoholics and addicts all over the country!  It will also give me a chance to share my story and maybe even give others some hope.

My goal of $3,500 is based on suggestions from other cyclists who have accomplished similar endeavors.  I appreciate any contributions as well as verbal support!
