Bianca Project

Hi everybody,

Our names are Lawrence Fletcher and Sarah Smith and we are soon to be qualified Speech and Language Therapists. We have been accepted into a voluntary project by a charity called "Share". The purpose of the project is to send newly qualified allied health professionals, to work in a centre in Sibiu, Romania for children with complex needs, including Autism and Learning Disabilities.

We will be working alongside the staff within the centre to provide Speech and Language input that aims to develop the children's play skills, attention and overall communicative ability.

We believe that communication is a fundamental human right that all children should be supported to achieve to their maximum potential in getting their need met.

As Romania is a very economically deprived country the centre does not have frequent access to resources such as toys, pencils and paper to name a few. We are providing these resources as part of the project and would be very grateful for any financial support you could give us to benefit the children that have very little. We are doing this without any financial backing and are also required to provide our own accomodation fund so any support you could provide would be very much appreciated.
