Beyond the Fog – Student Thesis Film

We are a group of student filmmakers from Lasalle College of the Arts making our Thesis Film called Beyond the Fog. We decided to start this crowdfunding page as we require funds for production needs such as crew welfare, props and wardrobe and renting locations. Logline:

After learning that he is still unable to go home after living and working on the mussel farm for 2 years, Erik, a foreign worker, seeks comfort in Cinta, a Sea Spirit of his own manifestation.

Director's Statement:

Beyond The Fog is fundamentally a story about loneliness and longing. It explores the human nature and our need for connection. Erik ultimately feels like not belong on the mussel farm. Driven by the frustration of not being able to go home after 2 year, pushes him to create a companion in order to restore some normalcy in his life. It also questions how powerful the mind is, as Erik question Cinta's existence and whether or not he is actually being unfaithful to his wife back home.
