Hello everybody.

                   Our family encauntered a realy hard situation, because our dear family meber has gotten sick.

Lexi is a 2 years old. She is in our family for 2 years now, since 2011/01/15. Shes like a best friend, a part of family. Always she was so full of life. Playing all time, runnin all around house. In our family we laugh about, how much energy she has, because she never where still, always where very activ. But shes so sweet to, each time going sleep, she sleep just righ nex to someone of our family, even gets under blanket.

                      But yesterday she got sick. She wasnt eating, all time slept. Yesterdat we got her to a veteriniar, but today she even got worst, and today we recieved a results from veterinar. Now she is at veterinar and treatment is started. With long time talking veteriniar agreed that we will pay after treatment, he agreed only because we explained our finansial problem. A half motnhs ago even mother lost her job and only father got job, sister and me is still going in school. And in our country its almost imposible to study and work, because of education system. And payment wich father recieves for work isnt large too. To study me and my sister needed to take money from bank too.

Veteriniar understood situation and gived us a week to pay for treatment. We all are very gratefull for his kind heart. But still we need to pay him for saving Lexis life. But we dont know how if we barley can pay bills and live our selfes. And already tooked money from bank. :(

After veteriniar took Lexi in and startet treatment, i asked him about this sicknes more information. Well and in internet i found out that this is well know sicnkes. But its sad, because its life-treathening sicnkes.

Veteriniar said that she got sicknes named Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia. And this is information about this sickness.

Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia

Autoimmune hemolytic anemia is a specific type of erythrocyte (red blood cell) deficiency in which the dog's immune system targets its own healthy red cells, accelerating their breakdown and removal.

Outcome The response to treatment depends on the rate of hemolysis. Prognosis is guarded due to potential concurrent disease and complications. The mortality rate can reach 40%. In patients that survive a hemolytic crisis, life-long treatment may be needed and the disease can recur. Side effects of treatment may also be problematic. Ideally, the red blood cell count returns to normal.

Recommended Treatment Autoimmune hemolytic anemia is a life-threatening condition. See your veterinarian immediately for proper diagnosis and treatment of suspected autoimmune hemolytic anemia.

Today we started the treatmet and Lexi stayed at veterinar. But the problem is, that our family has a finansial crisis, wich isnt easy to admint, and the situation is realy hard. But we dont want to lose our dear family meber. The treatment isnt cheap, and we cant afford it, we already took money from bank to help Lexi. But me and my family would appreciate a help and support from others.
