Care for Betty

My grandmother, Betty Mattox of Spring, TX, is currently in hospice with end stage COPD. It is my understanding that her insurance is only covering her medicine and not her medical care. Every month that she is in hospice, it costs $5000.00 out of pocket. The financial burden has fallen upon my aunt and uncle who are on a fixed income and only bring in $2000/mo. There lies the problem. Once they run out of savings, every month they will be over $3000 short because, well, they have a mortgage and bills to pay. Not to mention they have health problems of their own and have to eat, etc.

So, how can we make sure my grandmother is taken care of and made comfortable during her final days without leaving my aunt and uncle broke and possibly homeless? We just have to pray that people will give money out of the kindness of their hearts to help my family during this difficult and stressful time. Any amount is appreciated and, remember, all donations are tax deductible.
