Concern: The Voter Publications produces a monthly voter education newsletter for Democrats and Independent voters. We have proven that educating voters, rather than nagging voters through phone calls, robocalls, endless TV ads, and so on, produces a more active voter base.
Background: It is hard to reach potential voters by phone. Only about 25% are reached that way. Email is a cost free way to reach voters, but they are loath to share their email addresses. About 75% of potential voters are hard to reach--hard to educate.
Our Mission: To deliver a copy of our educational newsletter, The Enlightened Voter, to every Democratic and Independent prospective voter in Palm Beach County, Florida 18-times each year.
Demonstration: This project will demonstrate to the political establishment that using the antiquated methods of prohibitively-expensive media and difficult-to-find volunteer door-knockers and phone-callers can be more efficiently and less-expensively replaced with a free, monthly voter-information journal.Our Need: Our project is our staff and technology:
