Bernie needs you

Bernie has been at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter in Wantagh, NY since May 21, 2015 when he was found on a street corner by Police abandoned and alone. Often overlooked he has waited patiently for a forever home. He has spent more than half of his life in the shelter and sadly it is all he knows. While in foster for a short stay recently this very sweet boy, showed signs of being previously abused as he was hand shy, afraid of men and strangers. His fears shed some light on his more than likely tough start to life.

Our goal is too change all of that and to get Bernie the rehabilitation and placement he needs to live the rest of his life in a loving home which he so deserves. Unfortunately, we can't change his past but we can help create a bright future for him.

Your entire donation will be put towards his rehabilitation and placement with Forever Home in Virginia. Forever Home is a rescue and rehabilitation that has had successes with training and finding homes for previous Town of Hempstead dogs.
