Hi my name is Anya  I have a 18 month old dog called Bentley who has been my companion since a pup, around the 12 week stage we noticed he was starting to fall over himself while we went on a walk, we knew this wasnt right so we phoned the vet and had him seen to, had x rays done and waited for results to come back same day. we got a phone call at 4 to come and collect him and talk through the next steps, my worst fears were answered, he has a birth defect of front legs which needs specialist treatment (this i thought was going to cost alot) when we arrived at the hospital we got a CT scan done of his front legs to get a closer look on what was happening, this is when he said the condition your pet has is called Elbow dysplasia' I had never heard it before so went home and researched on this particular condition. all of the websites were not that helpful so we resorted in just watching and seeing what he was going to be like as he gets older before we agree on any other treatments. one day while coming back from a walk i noticed his leg was turned outwards so took a picture to keep to show vets, then i saw him limping which i got a video of. this condition isnt recognised very well as no one knows how it starts.  we are now in talks with noel fitzpatrick the supervet on other treatments available we have £7,000 in insurance but this wouldnt cover the costs needed for TER surgery being £7,100 per elbow. so this is why I have come here for my last chance at finally making my boy comfortable again.    thanks Anya
