Benefit for Razan Al-Najjar

I am personally initiating this fundraiser to benefit the family of 21 year old Palestinian volunteer paramedic, Razan Al-Najjar, who was shot and killed by an Israeli sniper on Friday, June 1, 2018, during the Holy month of Ramadan, while she was rescuing injured civilians participating in the peaceful Great Return March, that has been ongoing for the last 10 weeks in the Gaza Strip. This fundraiser is being done in her honor and 100% of the proceeds will go directly to her parents. I am in constant contact with Razan’s mother and father through the leaders in the medical team that she was involved with before she was killed. I plan on wiring the funds directly to the family through Western Union. The receipt of transferring of funds, with all verified information will be posted with a message from her parents after they’ve received the money. The family members have already been living in dire conditions before this catastrophe of abruptly losing their beloved daughter, Razan. This is the least we can all do to help them with some sort of relief, as they start their mourning process. Please donate any amount that you can. Edit: As of June 5, 2018, Aliya Hassan has joined efforts with me to help expand this fundraiser. For the purposes of this campaign on Go Fund Me, Abbas Hamideh and Aliya Hassan will be the direct beneficiaries of these funds in order for us to be able to transfer the money raised to the parents of Razan Al-Najjar. Go Fund Me policy requires that we clearly state the beneficiaries of this campaign. Thank you for your generosity in this noble benefit!

As soon as the donation funds hit my bank account, I immediately delivered your trust to Razan Al-Najjar’s father, Mr. Ashraf Al-Najjar. He just messaged me this morning and told me that he had no issues at all receiving the donations from his local Western Union outlet. He asked me if I had any particular requests, and of course I told him that this was the least we could all due to support the family during these tragic times and that we had no stipulations, it was simply a gesture in his daughter, Razan’s honor. However, my only humble request on behalf of everyone that participated in this fundraiser was that Razan’s resting place would be marked with a headstone, so that the world would recognize her heroic efforts, especially after the liberation of Palestine, when we visit our heroes. He gladly obliged with the request and felt motivated in making this a priority. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for showing this family that we were all affected by Razan’s deliberate murder. We cared and we delivered. May we carry Razan’s name into the liberation of Palestine!

أنا اقوم شخصياً ببدء حملة جمع التبرعات هذه لإفادة عائلة المسعفة الفلسطينية الغزاوية المتطوعة البالغة من العمر 21 عاماً ، رزان النجار ، التي أطلق عليها الرصاص على يد قناص إسرائيلي يوم الجمعة ، 1 يونيو / حزيران 2018 ، خلال شهر رمضان المبارك ، بينما كانت تقوم بإنقاذ مدنيين مصابين يشاركون في مسيرة العودة العظيمة السلمية التي ما زالت مستمرة خلال الأسابيع العشرة الأخيرة في قطاع غزة.
