Ben’s Challenge

Hi there! My name is Ben and I live in Melbourne, Australia. I have signed up for a challenge that will take me half way across the world; a one month World Challenge expedition to Nicaragua and Costa Rica in November 2015. This is an experience of a life time! An oppurtunity to experience the wonders of the developing world, while volunteering in a community project and helping the locals by; teaching English, building a shelter, reforestation or working in an orphanage. I also look forward to being physically, mentally and emotionally challenged throughout the whole journey but especially as we attempt to trek the five volcanoes. The expedition is student led from raising our own funds to planning the teams itinerary. I hope to learn and demonstrate life skills such as leadership, teamwork, initiative, decision making and communication. I currently umpire football matches for the EDFL on weekends and I'm looking for other part time employment as well as working on individual fundraising ideas. My plan is to fund the expedition off my own back, with no help from my parents, so I would appreciate any contribuition big or small to assist with my challenge. Thank you so much for your support.
