Loki is suffering a ruptured lung and a bleeding stomach and is in critical condition. I have had her since she was six weeks old and has been with me her entire upbringing through some of the hardest times of my life. Loki has been my companion and has made her way into many hearts of those around her, she is the most loving affectionate creature in the world and always brings a smile to everyone's faces. She adores her stuffed sheep and bumble bee and loves to be active and plays with everyone she can. She has been our councilor and shoulder when no one else could be. She has always had the soul of a puppy and is far too young to be taken from this world.

I am reaching out for help from the hearts of others to help us through this hard time. I have been out of work for the last couple of months and am getting back to work on Monday but the money is needed now not later. We almost had the horrible fate of having to take her home on the night of the accident to watch her die because the animal hospital wouldn't help her without upfront money, thank you to a very giving couple we had met the clinic she was able to recieve care because they paid half the bill for one nights services. I am now on a running tally owe 318 to the first vet (this has been taken care of by the couple that gave us a ride to the vet right after Loki was hit! Doug McNab from broadway refrigeration & air conditioning Co.), and need to raise more money to pay for the care needed to make her better aka the surgery to put a tube into her lungs to keep the air from building in her chest and possible lung surgery where they will need to go in and close the hole. The Vet she is currently in care at is the Fraser Valley emergency animal hospital, their policies do not allow us a payment plan, but they are trying to help as much as they can to keep Loki taken care of within our means as we go along here. They have also shared our campaign page. If you would like to speak to the vet directly you are welcome to contact them, all disclosure rights have been given to them so they can explain to you what is needed immediatly and what may or may be needed etc.

Please if you can find it in your ability to help, help us in our time of most critical need. as it is I cannot afford rent or food but need to see my dog make it through. I thank you for anything you might be able to contribute and thank you for any well wishes. Also if tiy are having troubles using the donate button please email me at [email protected] to get it straightened out.

DONATION NEED UPDATE APPLICATION AND FINAL TOTAL COSTS:

We visited Loki today as per usual in order to meet with the surgeon to discuss what needs to be done, and get an estimate on the costs to insure Lokis well being. Loki was very much alive and bouncing today which was a huge happiness but also a concern trying to get her to lay back down and rest. We are happy to see her happy but the real challenge now lays ahead of us. Loki has a slow leak in her lung cavity area still and the x-rays have brought back images of a bulla, this can be a fatal thing and can cause many many issues if not contended with. Loki needs a surgery called a Lung Lobectomy and very possibly a cathater chest tube to keep pressure off so she can heal properly. In lamans terms, there is an air pocket that cannot be there, they need to cut her open and drain that air pocket, her damaged portion of lung will need to be removed and then stapled shut and she will be able to breath and heal normally, and live a normal life again. The partial lung removal will not hinder her quality of life other then she may get tired earlier on hikes etc. There is of course the regular risks of surgery from anesthesia etc but we believe in her and think she is a little trooper that will pull through. They tell us that her percentage is very very high with this assistance,

Non the less this is where we are at, we have Lokis care taken care off til tomorrow thanks to the donations made that have not shown up here on this site from people donating directly to the vet or through direct transfers, so the donations on this page are going to pay for the down payment and Lokis surgery costs. We are trying everything else in the mean time to make more money to put down, im back to work soon and Ryan has been trying to sell studio gear (even though its his world) to help pay for the surgery.

The estimate we have been given for the surgery and her post care is stated between $6757.07 and $7183.94. If you would like the full breakdown of the estimate feel free to ask me, I will provide you with the list of items needed.

Thank you everyone for your support ive broken into tears so many times the last couple of days overwhelmed by the kindness that you all have you are amazing and in our hearts and we are in your debt forever....

Thank you everyone you have saved our Loki dogs life and we cannot ever repay you enough!

battle is won but war is not over.

Update posted by Charun at 07:57 pm

Today's news is good and very happy but still critical with lots of work to be done. Loki has had her right lung re-inflate enough to be stable and come home for some down time. She needs to recover as much as she can before we bring her into surgery.. . . . .

Update

Update posted by Charun at 08:07 am

Just got off phone with the Vet she is stable and air is still leaking into her chest, its safe to say she will need to undergo the surgery to put a chest tub into to keep pressure from building pressure. The bleeding in her stomach has subsided for now. . . . .

Donation has been made to cover

Update posted by Charun at 05:03 am

Doug Short was kind enough to cover Loki's costs for the evening in the Langley animal hospital, we cannot thank him enough, now we can transfer her to the proper clinic tomorow where she will be taken care of without immediate money needed upfront, but it will be a surgery. . . . .
