Future Olympian Belle...

Belle is a Figure Skater with heart, she loves to skate and loves to be on the Ice, she says that her perfect day is a "Day Spent Entirely on the Ice".  We started her in skating for a 'fun hobby' however we soon realized that she was way beyond 'hobby' level.  She was soon singled out as one with great potential and an incredible ability to adapt to this sport. In just a year she has been in one competition and won two medals, both of which she skated in programs against girls that had skated for years, and she at the time had only been skating for 7 months.  With her skating we are so supportive and excited, she skates usually five days a week and about two hours a day, some weeks are more and some are less, but if we can get her there she is skating.  We know that one day she will surpass this and need to  be skating so much more.

Up until now we have covered all of the costs on our own, which we have been fortunate to be abel to do, however for her to continue and to grow and reach her goals of making it to 'Nationals' and eventually to be an 'Olympic Level Athelete' she needs more, and for this we need help.  Currently Belle takes Ballet one day a week with an amazing Ballerina'Mariel' and has three 1/2 hour lessons with her private coach, however she needs so much more.  Belle also needs to be able to attend special lessons to help with her 'Spins' on the ice and she needs to be abel to attend the 'Power' classes that help her with her stamina and strength.  Also she ideally needs more ice time and additional lessons to help her learn to have more fluidity and motion.  

This year Belle will be skating against girls that have been skating for five+ years, and that are several years older than her(on average), as a parent this terrifies us, but we know she can do it and she definately has the drive.

With the help of her Coach 'Brianna Hatch' we have been lead to this web site and hope that it will allow others to share in her dream.  We are also starting a 'BLOG' for her that will give weekly updates and details on her progress.  The excitement is huge in our home for her and her future, we can not wait to see what she can accomplish.  Any assistance is deeply appreciated, and again thank you for sharing in her dream!
